Richard Woods — London, UK

His installations transform space into a parody of familiar designed surfaces.

Richard Woods is a London-based artist whose work transforms environments with graphic interventions. Perhaps best-known are his bright, comics-style floorboards. Woods studied sculpture at Winchester School of Art and then the Slade School of Art. He describes himself as a very hands-on artist, who is inspired by the built world he inhabits, but is also fascinated by the decisions and choices other people make about taste or style.
