Now 28, Selçuk Ören works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer in Istanbul. He studied graphic design at Istanbul’s Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, then worked for various graphic agencies after graduation, but in order to pursue his love of illustration, he started working solo and published his first illustrations in a graphic novel in 2009. After winning an award in an advertising competition, Ören has been deemed one of the rising stars and one of the best new illustrators in the country. In 2011, he founded Hink Design Studio with friends and continues to generate inspirational illustration designs for a variety of media, from magazines to animations.
