AES+F (Tatiana Arzamasova, Lev Evzovich, Evgeny Svyatsky and Vladimir Fridkes) has been exploring the possibilities of combining modern technology, Hollywood cinema, fashion photography, advertising, mass media, popular culture and youth obsession with the classical aesthetic of old masters' paintings since the forming of the group in 1987. "The Feast Of Trimalchio" is one of AES+F's latest exhibition, and it runs until 07 OCT 2012 at Factory D, 8/F Gee Chang Hong Centre, 65 Wong Chuk Hang Road, HK.

Petting Zoo by Christoph Niemann (New York, USA / Cape Town, South Africa)
Petting Zoo is an interactive picture book APP for iOS and Android, designed by internationally acclaimed illustrator and Design Indaba 2013 speaker – Christoph Niemann. A delightful menagerie of 21 illustrated, animated animals begging for your tap, poke and swipe. This app combines the charm of handmade animations and Niemann's wry humour with state-of-the-art technology. What would an elephant in your bathroom do? Can a dog breakdance? Could you play a crocodile's teeth like a xylophone? With programming by friend and developer Jon Huang and music by South African composer Markus Wormstorm, Niemann has created a lovable and entertaining pastime that is his first attempt at interactive illustration.
Knock Knock Magazine: Travel Issue (Sydney, Australia)
Created by Tom and Ali Groves, Knock Knock Magazine profiles street level emerging and established Australian and international creatives doing their thing, and doing it well. Brazilian chef, and 2013 Design Indaba speaker Alex Atala explains how a change in attitude towards food can help people and the environment. For Atala, being a chef is more about making delicious food; it’s about being an active agent in sustainability. He believes that people should use an entire ingredient without wasting or throwing away anything.
