Art Statements presents "The Feast Of Trimalchio" (Hong Kong, China)

AES+F (Tatiana Arzamasova, Lev Evzovich, Evgeny Svyatsky and Vladimir Fridkes) has been exploring the possibilities of combining modern technology, Hollywood cinema, fashion photography, advertising, mass media, popular culture and youth obsession with the classical aesthetic of old masters' paintings since the forming of the group in 1987. "The Feast Of Trimalchio" is one of AES+F's latest exhibition, and it runs until 07 OCT 2012 at Factory D, 8/F Gee Chang Hong Centre, 65 Wong Chuk Hang Road, HK.

Louise Fili is a graphic designer and principal of Louise Fili Ltd, a company specialising in food packaging and restaurant identities. Formerly a senior designer at Herb Lubalin, Fili was art director of Pantheon Books from 1978 to 1989, where she designed some 2,000 book jackets! "Food packaging and book jackets have a lot of similarities... In a way it’s the same thing, you are dressing something up in order to appeal to people. Yet you have to be authentic to what the product is. You can’t lie", Fili explains on stage at Design Indaba 2013.

This app combines the charm of handmade animations and Niemann's wry humour with state-of-the-art technology. What would an elephant in your bathroom do? Can a dog breakdance? Could you play a crocodile's teeth like a xylophone? With programming by friend and developer Jon Huang and music by South African composer Markus Wormstorm, Niemann has created a lovable and entertaining pastime that is his first attempt at interactive illustration.
