Stephen Kelleher — New York, USA

Communication is only possible with clarity, which to my mind suggests reduction. I live in New York City, which is a very busy and visually tiring place – my desire to simplify messages and create an uncomplicated graphic language has definitely been influenced by the visual chaos I see every day.

Originally from Ireland, Kelleher moved to New York City in 2007. The use of different media is what separates his commercial from his personal work. His freelance commercial work is mostly focused in the area of motion design, while his personal output is usually crafted from paper, thread and screen-printing. Kelleher’s work has been featured in publications and exhibitions across North America and Europe.
