OFFF Barcelona 2012 will be hosted 17-19 MAY at the new building of the DHUB. This new building allows more than 4.000 attendees, allowing OFFF coming back to an old scheme of having only one big scenario, Roots, with 3.000 chairs on it. Besides the main stage, OFFF will have other usual contents, such as Openroom for the younger and most promising artists, Workshops, Cinexin, Mercadillo, Showplace, and many more!

International Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art
Sonar São Paulo, the biggest of the Sonar events organized outside Barcelona, will take place on 11-12 MAY at the Brazilian city's emblematic Anhembi Park. It features more than 50 artists, including big international names: Björk, Justice James Blake, Four Tet, Squarepusher, Modeselektor, Alva Noto, Ryuichi Sakamoto, amongst many others!

Whether it happens to be what they specialize in, or something that they are only called upon to undertake from time to time, almost all designers enjoy putting together the collateral for a meaningful private event. The freedom from the often suffocating demands of a commercial brief are part of the attraction, as is the satisfaction that comes from giving immediate pleasure to people and being temporarily welcomed into their world. TLC is key to a good TVC
The amount of time, effort and money poured into a 30-60-second TV commercial these days can equivalate to that of a medium-budget feature film. Yet as the means of reaching a target market change with the proliferation of new communications technology, the reliance on big-money, big-star advertising could soon become a thing of the past — which is good news for innovative producers with compelling ideas, however niche.
