About
Born in the relatively remote city of Perth, Australia, Yok has gone on to exhibit in numerous locations around the world, including Melbourne, Sydney, Berlin, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, Taipei and Toronto. Upon graduation, he spent time travelling and discovered a love for street art. Yok was first exposed to the scene in Scotland, where he worked at a skate shop; later, he discovers the painting of Phil Frost on the walls of Slam City Skates in London; and Banksy’s political graffiti in Barcelona and Kenya.

Tailor-Made for IdN 15th Anniversary: The Future of Design. My drawing focuses on an illustrator that has a recycled timber keyboard which is connected to his mind and it prints out his ideas instantly.
Gargoyle: Most of my characters are based on gargoyles, In medieval days they were developed to ward away evil. I thought it would be great to make my own gargoyles and place them around town to help people on there day to day kind of like good luck.

My newest work, this is different direction my work is going in. It takes some of the elements of my drawings and composes them in a different ways. I like to think that it is my characters with out any skin on and you can see inside them and what's going on in there.
Monster Mash: A joint silkscreen print I have just finished.
Mountain Talk: A silkscreen print that shows one lady mountain chatting up a daydreaming man mountain.
