Probably our best Motion Gallery so far! The appeal of symmetry and pattern-making is spilling over into the world of motion graphics. No fewer than 27 leading practitioners demonstrate what this dimension can add to their work in this inspirational DVD. Curtain up!

What immortal hand or eye could frame thy fearful symmetry?

The possibilities for symmetry and pattern-making in design are literally endless. Transforming mathematical measurements into aesthetically pleasing works of art is a task that increasing numbers of animators are setting themselves. We look at this latest trend in motion graphics through the eyes some of those who have become particularly adept at it.

Ricardo Cavolo – 101 Artists to Listern to Before You Die – Brighton, UK

Ricardo Cavolo has an eclectic music taste to say the least, and when we say eclectic we mean everything from Mozart to Mos Def. He's produced a book with Nobrow, titled '101 Artists to Listen to Before You Die', alongside an exhibition at the Soho gallery Atomica. Ricardo is a Spanish artist who now resides in the cultural mecca of Brighton. His folky hand drawn illustrations evoke days of doodling on the back of school textbooks, featuring traditional and iconic characters brought into the modern world with tattoos and achingly hip facial hair.
